Spring Break is coming up!
Here is another Reading tip as you enjoy "Judy Moody" with your child!
Stay engaged with your child throughout the reading time- stop from time to time to explain an unfamiliar vocabulary word, discuss an important point, or ask your child to make predictions. You don't want to derail too much, but you do want to make the reading time together interactive!
Remember that bank deposit day is tomorrow (Wednesday) at MES!
We hope you are enjoying reading "Judy Moody" with your child.
Expect some fidgeting - Listening during reading time does not have to be a stationary activity. Some listeners will sit as stones with eyes and ears fixed on you. Other listeners stay more engaged with something in their hands like a small toy, crayons, or a stuffed animal. Some children might listen better if allowed to walk around the room or bounce on the bed a bit. Work together to find the way that works best for your child!
We are selling popcorn at MES to raise money for personal books for students to keep and take home.
The classroom in each grade level that sells the most bags will win a popcorn party! Find your favorite Little Leopard and buy some popcorn today.
Treering allows you to add customized pages to your child's yearbook for free. If you wish to add these customized pages for free, you must order their yearbook and add the pages by March 29. It is easy to add your own photos from the year and have all the memories from their year in one spot. Here is the link to order:

They also have great tutorials on how to create the customized pages on the website!
We had our kickoff assembly today for Arkansas Reads One Book. We are so excited to start reading "Judy Moody was in a Mood" on Monday, March 4. Students will all be given a copy of the book, a reading schedule and family activities you can do with the book on Monday. They will be bringing the book home but need to be sure they return it everyday. We look forward to reading this book with all of you!
Remember that tomorrow is Bank Day!
Class photos are coming up soon!
Make sure you have these dates on your calendars!
Happy Valentine's Day!
We had a blast celebrating the 100th day of school last week at MES! From dressing up like 100 year old ladies and gentlemen to creative shirts and activities, it was a fun day for all.

Hello Leopards,
We are pleased to announce classes resume at normal times tomorrow! Over the past week and a half, icy/snowy weather and flooded bus routes posed safety concerns. Your safety is our top priority, and we appreciate the understanding and patience shown by our amazing community during this unpredictable time.
A huge shoutout to our incredible community for your understanding, cooperation, and support as we navigated through these safety concerns. Your patience has been instrumental in ensuring the well-being of our students and staff.
Together, we've weathered the storm, and your collaboration has truly warmed our hearts.
As we prepare to return to the classrooms, we express our deepest gratitude for your resilience and cooperation. Here's to a fantastic rest of the school year filled with learning, growth, and community spirit. Don't forget to secure the B.A.G.! (Behavior, attendance, grades!)
