Third and Fourth Grade had a Pep Rally this morning to get them all pumped up and ready for the ATLAS test that begins next week.
The third grade teachers played a friendly game of Wheel of Fortune and fourth grade teachers had a dance off. Seniors Ethan Martin and Ashlynn Fike talked to them about the importance of doing their best on the test. We ended the Pep Rally with a friendly game of Chubby Bunny! Mrs. Tarkington won with a whopping 9 marshmallows.
Be sure your child is well rested, eats breakfast and is at school for the next few weeks. Encourage them to do their best and use all they have learned this year!

Today we celebrated our 4th graders who scored ready or exceeding on their ACT Aspire test last spring. They received a medal for each area - Reading, English, Math and Science- that they scored ready or exceeding in.
Brayden Coleman, Fisher Loy, and Geovanny Garcia all received a trophy as well for being exceeding in all four areas.
We are so proud of their hard work and determination. They are all passionate about learning and take pride in their work. It shows in their excellence on the test.

8 of our third and fourth grade EAST students represented MES at the EAST Conference at the Hot Springs Convention Center.
They presented all the amazing projects we have been working on this year, learned about projects other schools are doing, experienced new technology and met new friends. Harper Crowder was awarded a difference maker award for her excitement and presentation of our projects. She also won a mini drone in the Tinkerspace Scavenger Hunt.
We love collaborating with our school and community to make Malvern a better place to live.

Our First grade Little Leopards completed their CKLA unit on Habitats and created this display to show their learning. They learned about the climates of habitats, plant life, and the animals that lived in each. They tied math standards to the unit by graphing their favorite habitat they learned about and writing an opinion piece on their favorite habitat and why. #TheresNoPlaceLikeMES #ExpecttheBestatMES
